McAllister and His Double

"McAllister and His Double" is a mystery novel. Mr. McAllister enjoys his life as a bachelor and member of the Colophon club. After an evening of discussing prison reforms with a fellow club member, ironically, he is arrested and charged with robbery, being mistaken for the thief, Fat Welch. A series of events reunites him with his old butler Wilkins, who turns out to be Fat Welch himself. Now that McAllister has a look-alike in Wilkins, he wants to put it into use to achieve his own nefarious intentions…
