Kit and Kitty

This is a classic novel set near Sunbury-on-Thames in Middlesex. The three-volume novel tells the story of Kit, a market-gardener's nephew, and his love for Kitty, the daughter of a scientific man who has made his and his daughter's life miserable by marrying a second wife. The novel is filled with twists and turns as the villains, the second wife and her son Donovan, try to thwart Kit and Kitty's love. Even after marriage, the course of true love is not smooth, with Kitty being stolen from her bridegroom during the honeymoon.
