While the reader, Gary Appleton, has an amusing and ironic voice, his delivery is a little bit halting as he's not the same kind of quick mind that HG Wells did. It's difficult to read philosophical texts and this one is clear enough. The essay is funnier than the reading: "as a rule, the nice girl wants to come and sit on your knee all day, and that is a great impediment to literary composition". It's very short, about ten minutes so it's not a long listen.
